Reflection 2/27
Today in class, we continued to work on our poems and went deeper into our cultural identities. I've never been super interested in my ancestry, but I do know that we have some Indigenous blood somewhere on my mom's side of the family. I tried to incorporate that with all my references to nature and the line "Seeing the land of liberty take us all" in my poem.

Today in class, we started a creative writing assignment: a poem reflecting our culture. i don't usually identify with a specific culture, growing up my family has always been a cookie cutter white family. So, when I was starting to outline my ideas, I tried to incorporate all the things that made my lifestyle (culture) uniquely ours.

Reflection 2/12
Today, class was very simple. We had a small common lit assignment about the war protests. This conversation brought be way back to 8th grade when we focused on the Vietnam war and its outcomes. Because of those classes, this assignment was very easy for me. After I finished the assignment we had a lockdown drill, and right after our sub turned off the lights, I immediately fell asleep and took a tiny nap. Overall, it was a good way to start the week.
