In class today we started reading a short story called The Rockpile. It was based on a rock pile in a young boys neighborhood where many people hang out. It made me think of all the places in my neighborhood my old friends and I would go to hang out. We also reflected on our Friday assignment that involved drawing certain images from the neighborhood we grew up in. I never realized how fortunate I am for growing up in the same neighborhood all my life, someone in our class has lived in over 12 houses! I really love my neighborhood and the Rockpile helped me realize that. :)
